Mozelle Teague Odom, 91, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 in Dimmitt. Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church at 2:00PM on Wednesday with Pastor Jonathan Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Family visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the funeral home. Mozelle Odom was born on September 21, 1923 to H.T Teague and Nellie Kemp Teague in Kingston, Oklahoma. She has been a longtime resident of Dimmitt since 1941. Her and her late husband, Raymond Odom were involved in farming for more than 50 years and she worked in the school cafeteria from 1997 - 2005. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dimmitt for many years and a member of the Naomi Sunday school class. She enjoyed working in her yard, playing cards, and cooking. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and entertaining her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mozelle is survived by 4 children, Glenn Odom and wife Beth of Dimmitt, Maretta Smithson of Dimmitt, Patricia Campbell of Amarillo, and Jesse Odom of Dimmitt, 8 grandchildren, Greg Odom, Shane Smithson, Chad Smithson, Chester Morgan, Aaron Odom, Troy Odom, Cara Obert and Amanda Potter, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Odom, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
