Narciso Gauna, Jr., 59, of Dimmitt passed away, Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church of Dimmitt with Rev. Raj Arockia as celebrant, burial to follow at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dimmitt. Rosary will be Thursday at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Narciso was born March 31, 1954 in Levelland, Texas to Narciso, Sr. and Emilia Lopez Gauna. He was a resident of Dimmitt all his life. He was a handyman and did all kinds of such as mechanics, carpentry work and plumbing. He enjoyed playing cards, listening to music and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his parents Narciso and Emilia Gauna of Dimmitt; 4 sons Robbie Gauna and wife Lucinda of Muleshoe; Jimmy Gauna and wife Rachel of Pettus; Narciso Gauna III of Lubbock and Ricky Gauna of Grand Prarie; 1 daughter Amanda Gonzales of Dimmitt; 5 sisters Janie Ramirez and her husband Sam, Josie Garcia and husband Rey, and Norma Lopez and husband Floyd all of Dimmitt; Lydia Garcia and husband Ruben of Goodland, KS., and Maria Salcido and husband Donaciano of Santa Anna; 1 brother Daniel Rodriguez and wife Becky of Dimmitt; 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
