Nellwyn Black Puckett, 84, passed away on May 14, 2011 in Dimmitt. Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 1:30 PM in the First Baptist Church of Hart with Matt Baird officiating. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery, under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Nellwyn was born on January 28, 1927 to Christopher and Beulah Black in Seymour, TX. She grew up and graduated high school in Seymour. During her adult life, she worked in the insurance business. She married Wade Puckett and they were married for 49 years prior to his death in 1998. She was a member of South Crest Baptist Church in Lubbock. She is survived by 4 brothers, Jim Black and wife Elsie of Hart, Charles Black and wife Wanda of Hart, Dub Black and wife Mary of Grandbury, TX, and John Black and wife Lenora of Proctor, TX, sister-in-law Sheila Black, 2 nieces and 7 nephews. She is preceded in death by 1 brother, Bob Black.
