Noemi 'Mimi' Reyna Velasquez was surrounded by family when she was called home and opened her eyes in her Savior's arms on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024. Mimi was born in Edinburg, TX to Froilan and Romanita Reyna on April 20th, 1946. She will be remembered for her unfailing devotion to her family, her Christian faith and her place as the 1st Lady of the Pentecostal Holiness Church, El Sendero de la Cruz in Hart, TX.
Mimi was also a hard worker having spent most of her youth and early adulthood working in the agricultural field as a field worker, and truck driver.  Mimi's last job prior to retirement was in Hart ISD's cafeteria.
Mimi married the love of her life, Roger Velasquez on October 7, 1972. Their marriage spanned over 50 years and were blessed with four amazing children.
To those who knew her best, she was the most beautiful, caring, and dependable woman. She was a lifelong friend, a loving sister, a compassionate aunt, and most importantly, a loyal and loving wife and Mama. Her greatest joy came with the arrival of her grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. Mimi cherished her role as a homemaker and found great joy in everything related to her flower garden.
Her children will remember her as their fiercest warrior!
Noemi is survived by her husband, Pastor Roger Velasquez, daughter Andria & her husband Arthur Guzman, son Rogelio Carlos & his wife Heather Velasquez, daughter Debbie and husband Steven Davis, her baby Salvador Velasquez and wife Priscilla Tavarez.
Grandchildren: Amber Guzman, Eathan Marquez, Skyler Velasquez, Isabella  Noemi Velasquez, Justice Velasquez, Brayden Gurney, Kimberly Davis, Kameron Davis, Aaliyah Martinez, Liliana Dones, Adam Dones.
Great grandchildren: Nehemiah Hedrick, Mason Marquez, Emily Marquez, Kaylee Ann Moreno.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Wael Tello and his staff for taking such good care of, as he called her, Mama Velasquez.
