Nora Lancaster, 95, of Hart passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in Floresville, Texas. Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 2:00PM in the First Baptist Church of Hart with Pastor Chance Perkins and Brian Wellborn officiating. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Nora was born on March 23, 1917 in Morris County, Texas to James and Mary Wellborn. Nora grew up on a farm and on December 14, 1940 she married Lester Lancaster in Omaha, TX. Nora had been a Hart resident since 1954. She worked for Hart Florists and the local grocery store and was a caregiver to several people in Hart. She enjoyed canning and gardening and was very active in her community and a hard worker. Nora was very involved with her church and was a member of the First Baptist Church and a charter member of the Hart Golden Group. Nora is survived by three children, Tommy Lancaster and wife Donna of Roswell, NM, Roger Lancaster and wife Teresa of Kingston, OK, and Diane Bailey and husband Ron of Floresville, TX, one sister Lura Smith of Midland, and one brother Barron Wellborn of Abilene, seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her spouse Lester Lancaster who passed away on Nov. 2, 1985, one grandson, Shane Lancaster who passed on September 16, 1990, two sisters, and five brothers.
