It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nora Quiroz of Dimmitt, Texas, a beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend, on December 29th, 2024, at the age of 55, surrounded by her family in her home.

Nora spent her life nurturing and supporting other people. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every moment she spent with them. Whether it was cheering on her children at games, extra curricular activities or any endeavor they pursued, she was their loudest supporter and greatest champion. Her love and pride in her family were boundless, and her unwavering encouragement will forever remain a source of strength and inspiration.

Nora had a rare gift for making people laugh. Her quick wit, playful sense of humor, and infectious laugh could brighten even the darkest day. Her smile lit up every room she entered, and her joyful spirit was a source of comfort and happiness to all who knew her. She also had a gift for capturing the beauty of life through the lens of her camera. Her passion for photography was a reflection of her generous heart, always seeking to preserve moments of joy and love to share with others. Her photographs, like her life, were filled with light, warmth, and meaning.

She was the best mother, wife, grandmother, friend, and sister anyone could ever ask for, always ready with a listening ear, a comforting hug, and a word of wisdom. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her kindness extended to everyone she met. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire those who knew her. Though her passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of all who loved her, we take comfort knowing that she was surrounded by her family during her final days, in peace and with love. Her memory will continue to live on in the many lives she touched and the examples she set.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Jesus Quiroz; children, Natashia Calderon and husband Sergio, Maricela Quiroz and wife Haley Schuster, Brandon Quiroz, and Alexis Quiroz; granddaughter Camila Calderon; siblings, Santos Martinez, Jr. and wife Rosa, Richard Martinez and wife Bonnie, Nick Martinez and wife Elsa, Norma Velasquez and husband Armando, and Bobby Martinez; father-in-law Luciano Quiroz; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

She is preceded in death by her parents Santos and Ester Martinez, and mother-in-law Rosario Quiroz.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 11:30 A.M. at the 4th and Bedford Church of Christ in Dimmitt, Texas with Pastor King Burney and Dr. Jonathan Sullivan officiating. The viewing will be on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Arrangements and Services are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas.

Her love will live on forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
