Norma Conard, 90, of Dimmitt passed away on January 10, 2014 in Lubbock. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00PM in the Abundant Life Family Church with Rev. Tom Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Family visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the funeral home. Norma was born on August 7, 1923 in Olton Texas to Cole Younger Miller and Nellie Hooper Miller. She grew up in Olton and attended Olton Schools. She married Tex Conard on April 9, 1941 in Plainview and has lived in the Dimmitt community since 1943. She was a teacher for many years and loved to teach children and sharing the gospel. Norma enjoyed being a hostess and loved sewing and making costumes for special events. She is survived by 2 daughters, Sharon Sadler and husband Larry of Dimmitt and Juanelle Winsor of Ft. Worth, TX, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 1 brother, Nolice Miller of Yucca Valley CA, 1 sister, Juanelle Wanamaker of Cottonwood, AZ.
