Osiel Rodriguez, 37, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 in Dimmitt, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 10:30AM in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Nino and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direct care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas. Rosary/Vigil service will begin at 6:00PM on Thursday at 6:00 at the church.
Osiel Rodriguez was born on April 13, 1985 in Dimmitt, Texas to Ubaldo Rodriguez and Eulalia Rodriguez. Osiel was a lifelong resident of Dimmitt and graduated from Dimmitt High School. He worked for Carpenter Farms for several years and then became a lineman for Cooke Line Services. Osiel enjoyed hunting, dancing, and spending time with his family. To have known Osiel is to have laughed with his silly comments, dance moves or just laugh for him being Osiel. Osiel always took the time to make sure that his parents were taken care of and to do whatever it took to make that happen. Osiel was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Osiel is survived by his father, Ubaldo Rodriguez, son, Alejandro Rodriguez of Mexico, siblings, Maria Aguero and husband Ramon of Dimmitt, Cristina Gauna and husband Joel of Beeville, Mari Villalba and husband Carlos of Dimmitt, Martha Ontiveros of Dimmitt, Isidro Rodriguez and wife Dora of Hereford, Argelia Jimenez and husband Ricky of Springlake, Laura Grado and husband Vale of Springlake, Ubaldo Jr. Rodriguez and wife Erika of Dimmitt, Efrain Rodriguez and wife Lupe of Dallas, Noel Rodriguez and wife Ariana of Dimmitt, Anita Rodriguez and husband Miguel of Midland, Rene Rodriguez of Dimmitt and Abel Rodriguez of Dimmitt along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Osiel is preceded in death by his mother, Eulalia Rodriguez and brother-in-law, Antonio Ontiveros.
Brother, you represented the good that we all need everyday in our lives. We are proud to have been able to call you father, son, brother, Nino, uncle, cousin and friend.
