Pat Torres, 58, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 in Amarillo. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday October 12, 2019 at 10:30AM in First Baptist Church of Dimmitt with Rev. Fernando Fernandez, Rev. Jesse Ramirez and Rev. Raymond Mendoza officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direct care of Colonial Funeral Home.
Pat Torres was born on July 2, 1961 in Las Varas, Chihuahua Mexico to Hector Marquez and Elvira (Granados) Marquez. Pat grew up in Bovina, Texas and graduated from Bovina High School. She married Jerry Torres on July 30, 1981 in Dimmitt, Texas where they continued to reside. She enjoyed interior decorating, planting flowers and listening to music, but most of all she loved taking care of her grandchildren. Pat will always be remembered as "Mommy Pat" who was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Pat is survived by her husband, Jerry Torres of Dimmitt, TX, 3 daughters, April Torres, Bianca Espinoza and husband Ruben and Amy Beliz and husband Jose all of Dimmitt, TX, sister, Blanca Peña and husband David of Arlingtom, TX, brothers, Hector Joel Marquez and Ismael Marquez both of Dimmitt, TX, grandchildren, Kriselle, Meah, Jayce, Mason, Preston, Mc'Kinley, Jacobie and one on the way.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Billy Marquez and sister, Minerava Chaparro.
