Paul Eugene Weaver, 82, of Dimmitt, Texas, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in Dimmitt, TX. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Family Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tom Mullins of Abundant Life Family Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas. Paul was born June 26, 1933 in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Isadore Weaver and Bertha Mae Holsinger Weaver. He worked for the Apollo space program at Cape Kennedy, Florida, from 1965 until 1970. Paul worked on most of Apollo moon launches, including Apollo 11 and Apollo 13. Paul served his country in the U. S. Army, during the Korean conflict. He moved to Dimmitt and started working for the fructose plant from 1976 to 1999, as an engineer. Paul was an active member and Sunday school teacher at Assembly of God Church in Dimmitt. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Isadore and Bertha Mae Weaver, his wife: Janet Kennard Weaver, a daughter: Lisa Renae Penney, a grandson: Chris Sperry, a brother: Chester E. Weaver, his in laws: John and Shirley Kennard. Survived: 2 Sons: Larry Dean Weaver of Dimmitt, TX, Randy Lee Weaver of Plainview, TX 3 Sisters: Helen L.
