Paula Harman, 88, of Dimmitt passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013 in Dimmitt. Paula was born May 21, 1925 in Clovis, New Mexico to R.T. and Jessie James (Fowler) Jenkins. Paula was a resident of Dimmitt since 1954. She married Wilbur David "Bill" Harman on November 4, 1942 in Clovis, New Mexico. She and her husband owned and operated Harman's Department Store in Dimmitt for many years. She loved her home, her children and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed needlepoint, square dancing and she knew how to make people smile or laugh by her jokes. She was a member of the Fourth and Bedford Church of Christ in Dimmitt. She is survived by her children, 3 daughters Jo Lynn Harman Holt and her husband Bill; Linda Harman McLain all of Amarillo and Dana Harman Nelson and her husband Vic of Dimmitt; 1 son Billy Harman and his wife Carolyn of Dimmitt; 9 grandchildren Holly Martin, Dolly Powers, John Darryl McLain, Amy McLain, Brian Nelson, Brady Nelson, Staff Sgt. Renea Hermesmeyer, Rochelle Tubbs and Rachal Trull and 9 great grandchildren; 1 brother Howard Jenkins of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 1 sister Benna Tarter of Farwell; 2 nieces Joan Stallings of Clovis, New Mexico and Jere Herrington of Texico, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wilbur David "Bill" Harman; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
