Ramon Soler, 95, of Dimmitt passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Dimmitt with Celebrant Arockiaraj Malapady, burial to follow at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas. Rosary and vigil will be Sunday evening at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Viewing will begin Sunday at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.

Ramon was born August 31, 1923 in Mexico to Leopoldo and Martina (Maldonado) Soler. Ramon has been a resident of Dimmitt all his life. He married Susana Hernandez in 1984. Ramon did custom farming most of his life. He enjoyed drinking his coffee every morning and his sweets, gardening, watching baseball, especially the Texas Rangers and he enjoyed watching boxing, the Discovery Channel and the weather channel, but above all these hobbies his greatest love was his family and providing for his family. Ramon was a very hard worker. Ramon was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Dimmitt.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Susana Soler of Dimmitt; his children Irma Ponce and her son Carlos Ponce of Amarillo, Texas; Norma Luker and her husband Chris of Lubbock, Texas; L.J. Soler and his wife Megan of Levelland, Texas; Rigo Berto Martinez of Cancun, Mexico; Mark Soler and his wife Flor of Oklahoma; Tina Guerra of Grand Prairie, Texas and Yolanda Soler and Lupe Soler both of Mexico; a sister Socorro Soler of Mexico and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ramon is preceded in death by his parents, two children Jose Luis and Isauro Soler and five siblings.
