Ysleta Ball, 80, of Dimmitt passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 2, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Dimmitt at 10:30 AM with Rev. Clint Young and Wayne Proffitt officiating, burial to follow at Olton Cemetery in Olton. Family visitation will be Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Ysleta was born January 31, 1932 in Earth, Texas to J.D. and Beulah Ginn Newton. Ysleta and her husband Garner have been residents of Castro County since 1968. They moved to Dimmitt in 1979 from Hart. Ysleta was very active in her church and community. She was a past board member and member of the Dimmitt Chamber of Commerce, she and her husband were awarded Citizens Through the Years in 2008, she was a big supporter and member of the Dimmitt Booster Club; she was recognized for working in bible school for 50 consecutive years. She was a supporter and member of Women Involved in Farm Economics and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt. She was a very devoted and loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, Garner Ball of Dimmitt and one daughter Debra Ball of Dimmitt. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Randy Ball and one sister, Yvonne Davis.
