Regina Martinez Oltivero "Gina", lifelong and well-known resident of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Dimmitt, at the age of 46, surrounded by her loving family.

Regina "Gina" was born on August 2, 1979, in Dimmitt, Texas, to Abel Martinez, Sr. and Maria Triana. She graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1998. Gina and Santos Oltivero, Jr. met and fell in love as teenagers; they have been together since 1992 and married in 2007. Gina worked in food service and housekeeping at Dimmitt Hospital before spending 16 years in food service for the Dimmitt School District.

Gina loved spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them. She also loved getting her nails done, shopping, dancing, and listening to Tejano music. She was a Kansas City Chiefs Fan who enjoyed eating fruit and cherry pecan ice cream from Braum's. She delighted in drinking her morning cup of coffee with pan dulce while having "sissy time" over the phone with her sisters. Gina was loud, outgoing, spoke her mind, kindhearted, and genuine.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Santos Oltivero, Jr. of Dimmitt, Texas; son Eric Oltivero and his wife Justine of Dimmitt, Texas; three daughters Britanny Oltivero and her husband Michael Hinojosa, Jr. of Dimmitt, Texas, Angelica Oltivero and Erika Oltivero both of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren, Audri Rodriguez, Kinsley Oltivero, Leah Hinojosa, Ryan Hinojosa, Noah Arriaga, Eric Jace Oltivero, and Haizley Oltivero; father Abel Martinez, Sr. and his wife Diana of Grand Prairie, Texas; sisters, Rachel Sanchez and her husband Andres of Grand Prairie, Texas, Rita Martinez of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Julian Martinez of Dallas, Texas and Abel Martinez, Jr. of Grand Prairie, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Triana; niece, Jasmine Sabedra; aunt, Josephina Garza; uncle, Dionicio "Nicho" Triana; father-in-law, Santos Oltivero, Sr.; all of Dimmitt, Texas; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father David Contreras officiating. Burial will follow at Castro Memorial Garden Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home in Dimmitt. Visitation and Viewing will be on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home with a Vigil/Rosary Service beginning at 5:00 PM.
