Rena Bell Noack, 96, of Dimmitt passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 in Dimmitt. Graveside services will be Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Southland Cemetery in Southland, Texas at 2:00 PM. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Rena was born in Southland to Alexander and Bertha Siewert Noack on February 3, 1922. She was a longtime resident of Lubbock and has spent her last 11 ½ years in Dimmitt near her niece Renise Blair Morgan. Rena grew up in Southland, graduating as valedictorian in 1940. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in English from Texas Tech University. Her teaching career spanned 39 years in Ralls, Spur and mostly Lubbock. She was one of the first teachers at Mackenzie Junior High. After retirement she enjoyed gardening, reading, quilting and cooking for her family.

She is survived by her niece, Renise Morgan and husband Randy of Dimmitt, a nephew, Kerry Blair and his wife Belinda, a great-nephew, Jacob Blair, great niece, Julianna Figueira and her husband Travis and a great grand-nephew, Chase, all of Hilo, Hawaii.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents and her sister and brother-in-law, Florene and W.D. Blair of Spur.
