R eynaldo Garcia Jr., 67, of Nazareth, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 in Nazareth. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 10:00AM in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Niño and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 6:00PM with vigil service to follow at the funeral home.
Reynaldo Garcia Jr. was born on October 10, 1952 in Weslaco, Texas to Reynaldo Garcia Sr. and Domitila (Salinas) Garcia. Reynaldo was a longtime resident of Castro County and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He married Josephine (Josie) Gauna on April 25, 1972 in Dimmitt. Renaldo worked as a truck driver for many years in the agriculture industry. During his free time, he enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, dancing, cooking out with all his friends and family, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Josie Garcia of Nazareth, TX, children, Tammy Garcia (Oscar) of Nazareth, TX, Renee Castillo (Caesar) of Weatherford, TX, Rey Garcia III (Susan) of Dimmitt, TX and Tracy Garcia (Jaime) of Dimmitt, TX, 2 sisters, Janie Esquivel (Juan) of San Marcos, TX and Esther Martinez of San Marcos, TX, 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Reynaldo is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul Garcia.
