Richard Lee Wood, 86, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, in Jacksboro, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Castro Memorial Gardens in Dimmitt, Texas. The family will receive ifriends and family mmediately following at Walking G., 108 West Bedford Street, Dimmitt, Texas.

Richard was born on January 3, 1937, in Fort Worth, Texas. He proudly served in the United State Army as a paratrooper. After his service in the Army, Richard taught and coached for 44 years.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Wood; two daughters, Dondi Field and husband Greg of Wylie, Texas, and Randa Hooten and husband Steve of Jacksboro, Texas; one son, Kyle Wood, and wife Courtney of Graham, Texas; six grandchildren, Tyler, Tawnee, Colton, Kasyn, Callyn, and Cooper; two great-grandchildren Eli and Quinn. The family suggests memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.
