Rita M. Woetovech's Obituary
Rita Marie Woetovech, 90, of Nazareth passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 10:00AM in the Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Bhaskar Adusupalli, Deacon Bob Birkenfeld and Deacon Joe Hochstein as celebrants. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 6:00PM at the church.
Rita was born August 5, 1928 in Nazareth to Joseph Birkenfeld and Blanche (Wagner) Birkenfeld. She was a lifelong resident of Nazareth and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church until her very final years. Rita was a farmer's wife and homemaker and no stranger to a dairy. She then transitioned to a business woman while continuing to raise a family. She was a long time employee of the First National Bank of Tulia, and was the "R" in J & R Hardware, along with husband Joe for many years. Through it all she found time for playing the accordion, crocheting, gardening, helping at the church, and eventually becoming a grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, Glenn Kleman and wife Neal of Sudan, TX and Rodney Kleman and wife Jen of San Angelo, TX along with grandsons, Bryce Kleman and Preston Kleman and wife Kylee, and granddaughters, Rheanna Kleman and Jaiden Kleman in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by two husbands, Robert (Bob) Kleman in 1971 and William (Joe) Woetovech in 2003, as well as her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Bryce Kleman, Preston Kleman, Gerald Birkenfeld, Curtis Birkenfeld, Kent Birkenfeld and Bernie Wethington.
The family has suggested memorials be made to the Holy Family Cemetery Fund, PO Box 100, Nazareth, TX 79063 or to a favorite charity.
