Robert Lushin Evans, of Hart, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in Hart.

Robert was born on July 28, 1956, in Olton, Texas, to Edward "Jack" and Billie Jo (Bland) Evans. He attended school in Dimmitt, Texas. Robert traveled for work and held various jobs, including working as a cowboy, in construction in California, and at Friona Industries. In 1994, he started making bits and spurs, "Evans Bit and Spurs", and moved to Hart in 2010.

Robert married Marie Hollis on November 29, 1974, in Dimmitt, Texas. Together, they began their life as a family and had three children. He married Carla Evans in May of 1989.

Robert enjoyed roping, football (especially the Dallas Cowboys), old western movies, and attending his granddaughter's track meets. Robert was ornery, friendly, generous, and knew no strangers. He was a proud Dad and Papa and time spent with family was important.

Those left to cherish his memories are his son Chad Evans and wife Jennifer of Plains, Kansas; two daughters, Erica Evans and Chad Hill of Hart, Texas, and Charity Breece and husband Martin of Plains, Kansas; grandchildren, Aubrey DeFever (Ethan), Courtney Primeaux (Cody), Robert Evans, Treciee Stockton (Justin), Toree Evans (Tyrique Matthews), and Holly Breece (Luis Molina); five great grandchildren; siblings Joe Evans of Dimmitt, Texas, Gary Evans of North Carolina, Sue Smith (Steve) of Hart, Texas, and Nancy Heinson (Mike) of Meade, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Billie Evans, his sister Kathy Fuller, his grandchildren Jarah Breece and Corey Evans, and his wife Carla Evans.

Celebration of Life Service for Robert will be on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Abundant Life Family Church in Dimmitt with Minister Bobby Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Hart Cemetery in Hart, Texas, under the personal care and direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas.  A Family and Friend Visitation will be on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
