On January 29, 1952 Rodney Larry Robertson graced this world with his presence to William Henry Chatham and Mary Sue Wiggins. He left his final mark on this world on September 4, 2011 in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 10:00AM in the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt with Bishop Leonard Chatham officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dimmitt under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Rodney was born and raised in Crosbyton, Texas. He attended Cisco Jr. College and later transferred to UTEP. Rodney moved to Dimmitt where he met and married Debra McLaughlin. He worked as a Lab Technician for over 20 years. Rodney is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debra Robertson, his father, William Henry Chatham and wife Emma of Lubbock, 4 daughters, Teresa Robertson, Tonya Robertson, Tamara Robertson and Payton Robertson all of Dimmitt, 5 brothers Leonard Chatham and wife Sharon of Plainview, Michael Chatham of Lubbock, Keith Chatham of Tyler, Homer Robertson of Clovis and JB Derrick and wife Pearlie Mae of Tyler, TX, 2 sisters Kaye Chatham of Lubbock and Velma Franklin and husband Bud of Dallas, 1 aunt, Jo Ann Miller of Lubbock, 2 special cousins Barbara and Linda Gordan of Lubbock, TX and a host of other relatives and special friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sue Robertson, Stepfather Homer Robertson, stepbrother Floyd Robertson, stepsister Sharon Robertson, and four special uncles, Raymond, Gene, Johnny, and Lindsey Wiggins.
