Rodolfo L. "Rudy" Salazar, 90, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 in Dimmitt. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 10:30AM in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pedro Gonzalez officiating with burial to follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direct care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Viewing will begin on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 1:00PM – 8:00PM at the funeral home.
Rodolfo "Rudy" Salazar was born on March 27, 1928 in Pedras Negras, Mexico to Christopher Salazar and Nevaies (Leoz) Salazar. Rudy was a very simple man who loved to work in his yard, admiring his antique truck, and listening to music, but most of all he loved spending time with his wife, Cipriana of 52 years and his family.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Cipriana Salazar of Dimmitt, TX, 2 sons, Adolfo Salazar of Alabama and Roy Salazar of Dallas, TX, 4 daughters, Elizabeth Montes of Plainview, TX, Mary Mendoza of Childress, TX, Janie Garcia of Childress, TX, and Rosa Mejia of Crystal City, TX along with numerous grandchildren.
Rudy is preceded in death by 2 sons, Rudy Salazar, Jr. and Santos Salazar.
