Roman Sandoval, 65, of Georgetown, Texas (formerly of Dimmitt) passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in Round Rock, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dimmitt, with Reverend David Contreras, Deacon John Nino, and Deacon Richard Martinez officiating.  Burial to follow at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. A Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Vigil/Rosary Service starting at 5:30 P.M.

Roman was born on February 28, 1959, in Dimmitt, Texas to Calistro Belma and Modesta (Sepeda) Sandoval. He attended school, started a family, and worked in Dimmit until 2005 when he met his wife, Irma Flores Rodriguez. They moved to Georgetown to be closer to family and continued his work with horses. Roman was a proud Horse Farrier, who did not consider his job with horse's work. It was something he loved every day from sunup to sundown. He skillfully rode, shoe-d, trained, and bred many horses. Roman was a member of the Quarter Horse Association, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Dimmitt, and Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Georgetown where he served those in need by helping with the food pantry. Roman was devoted to his faith and his family. He was charismatic, loving, outgoing, and the life of the party. He knew no stranger and was a friend to many. Roman was a wonderful husband, brother, father and grandfather who loved his children and grandchildren immensely.

Those left to cherish his memories are wife Irma Flores Rodriguez of Georgetown, Texas; daughter Stefanie Sandoval (Kisha) of Royse City, Texas; sons, Timothy Sandoval (Sarah) of Farmersville, Texas; and Trevor Sandoval (Melody) of Farmersville, Texas; sisters, Sylvia Aguilar (Camarino Gomez) of  Lubbock, Texas; and Susie Sandoval (Faustino Ramos) of Dimmitt, Texas; and brother, Romaldo Sandoval (Perry Juliano) of Chicago, Illinois; and grandchildren, Jagger Sandoval, Maddox Sandoval, Carter Sandoval, Penelope Sandoval, and Santi Sandoval.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Calistro Belma and Modesta Sepeda Sandoval.
