Ronnie Hoelting of Nazareth, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, in Dimmitt, Texas at the age of eighty-five.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10:00AM at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Nicholas Gerber and Deacons Bob Birkenfeld and Joe Hochstein as celebrants. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Rosary will be recited on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 6:30PM at the church.

Ronnie was born on April 25, 1941, in Tulia, Texas to Frank Hoelting and Ella (Heiman) Hoelting. He graduated from Nazareth High School in 1959 and enlisted in the United States Army. After being Honorably Discharged, he served in the US Army Reserve for seven years. Ronnie married Regina (Gerber) Hoelting on May 2, 1962, in Nazareth. Ronnie spent most of his working years providing for his family as a farmer. Whether the harvest was lean or abundant, he always said he was born to be a farmer.

Ronnie was a dedicated member of Holy Family Catholic Church and his devotion to the faith and the Holy Eucharist was obvious to all who knew him. He was instrumental in establishing Eucharistic Adoration in the parish. Ronnie also lived out the call to serve others in the community by establishing a food pantry in the community to make sure families had food on their tables. Ronnie also served the community many years as a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Regina Hoelting of Nazareth, children Neal Hoelting and wife Donna of Weatherford, TX, Rhonda Boyett and husband Barry of Cedar Park, TX, Russell Hoelting and wife Denise of Austin, TX, Darryl Hoelting of Ft. Worth, TX, sister, Dianne Norris and husband Warren of Dallas, TX, twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and the thirteenth great-grandchild expected in April 2027.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ella Hoelting, siblings, Richard Hoelting, Marion Hoelting, Cecil Hoelting and twin sister Cecila Hoelting, Julene Hoelting, Leonard Hoelting, Floyd Hoelting, and Estelle Keys.
