Rosa Maria Alvarado Flores, 88, of Dimmitt formerly of Lubbock passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 in Dimmitt. Maria was born March 7, 1925 in Jerez Sacatecos, Mexico to Roque and Juanita Juarez Flores Maria is survived by 2 daughters Mary Lou Davila of Dimmitt, Doah Barela of Lubbock and 1 son Jose Alvarado of Cotton Center. 3 sisters Maria de Jesus Long of Houston, Consuelo Flores of Del Rio and Carmen Flores of San Antonio and 2 brothers Antonio and Juan Flores both of Houston. 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Maria lived most of her life in Lubbock. She worked various jobs to support and raise her family, she was a hard working woman. After her retirement she devoted her life to Jehovah. She was a wonderful mother. She loved to sing and play the guitar. She was preceded in death by her parents and 14 brothers and sisters
