Roy Eugene Leingang, 73, of Amarillo formerly of Dimmitt and Hereford, Texas passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Dimmitt, Texas with Pastor Bobby Campbell officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Roy was born August 31, 1946 in Mandan, North Dakota. He is the son of Jacob Leingang, Jr. and Dorothy Dee (Beeson) Leingang. He married Janet Kaye (Love) Leingang on June 12, 1969 in Mandan, North Dakota. They moved to Dimmitt, Texas in 1973 where Roy worked as a mechanic at Earl's Garage for Earl Griffitt until 1992. They then moved to Hereford, Texas in 2001 till 2019 to be closer to their daughters and grandkids. In 2019 they moved to Amarillo due to health issues and his wife.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters Denise Lee Heggestad and Kyle Weatherford of Hereford, Texas; Loretta D. (Davis) and Brandi Morgan both of Amarillo, Texas; three brothers Preston C. Leingang and his wife Sharon, Bruce A. Leingang and his wife Carolyn all of San Antonio, Texas; Jack Leingang III and his wife Donna of Flagstaff, AZ.; two sisters Mary V. Stinar and her husband Darrell and Dorothy L. Ell and her husband Duane all of Mandan, North Dakota; a brother-in-law Philip Raymond of Worchester, MA.; seven grandchildren April Dawn Howell and her husband Thomas and Robyn LeeAnn Cordova and husband Oscar all of Dimmitt, Texas; Skylier Keith Davis and his wife Katelyn, Destiny Michelle Davis, Sydney Lea Weatherford, Cole Diamond all of Amarillo, Texas and Cheyenne Nicole Heggestad of Hereford, Texas; six great grandchildren Shelbee Madison, Jarred Dean and Raygen Marvin Howell all of Dimmitt, Texas; Nathaniel Patrick and Hailey Nicole Barnes both of Hereford, Texas and Amelia Jade Sanchez of Amarillo, Texas.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved Janet Kaye Leingang, one brother Jimmy Leingang, two sisters Matilda Leingang and Betty Jean Raymond and one son-in-law Jerry Dean Heggestad.
