Ruth Hackleman, 91, of Dimmitt, Texas gained her heavenly wings on Saturday, March 28, 2020. Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 2:00PM in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Sullivan of the First Baptist Church officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home. Viewing for the public will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM at the funeral home. There will be a Memorial Service for the family and friends that will be held at a later date.

Ruth Alice (Bresko) Hackleman was born on April 8, 1928 in Disputanta,Virginia to George Bresko Sr. and Anna (Rybar) Bresko of Tysite Hungary. Ruth was the youngest of 9 children and the last survivor of all her siblings. On April 11, 1947, Ruth married the love of her life Billy Hackleman in Disputanta,Virginia and they were married for 72 wonderful years. They have lived in the Dimmitt community since 1948. Ruth began working for U.S.D.A (ASCS) and was a longtime employee for many years as a Program Assistant. Ruth was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt and a faithful servant. In Ruth's younger days she enjoyed water skiing with Billy and as time went on she enjoyed cooking and sewing.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Billy Hackleman of Dimmitt, TX, niece, Carol Dean of Disputanta, VA, grand-nephew, Randy Dean of Hopewell, VA, niece, Chestine White Elmore of Chester, VA, along with many more nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews in Virginia, nephew, Russell Stringfield of Dimmitt, TX, grand-niece, Stephanie Moseley of The Colony, grand-niece, Christie Johnston of San Antonio, TX along with great-grand nieces and nephews, Brandon Johnston and Shelby Johnston of San Antonio, TX and Aidan Moseley and Mackenzie Moseley of The Colony.
Those that preceded her in death were her parents and eight siblings.
