Santos "Sandy" Oltivero Sr., 60, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in Amarillo, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Arockia Raj Malatady as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the distinctive care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.  Rosary will be celebrated on Friday, November 3, 2017 in the funeral home chapel.

Santos "Sandy" Oltivero was born on March 27, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas to Juan and Maria Oltivero.  He was a resident of Dimmitt, Texas most of his life and spent some of his childhood in Raymondville, Texas.  He married Rosa Benavidez on November 13, 1976 in Dimmitt.  He worked for Dimmitt Agri. for many years.  Everyone knew him by "Tio Sandy" and "Welo".  He enjoyed sleeping, giving all his grandchildren, nieces and nephews nicknames but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He put a smile on everyone's face.

Santos is survived by his spouse, Rosa Oltivero of Dimmitt, 2 sons, Santos Oltivero Jr. and Javier Oltivero and wife Betty both of Dimmitt, 1 daughter, Monica Anima and husband Juan of Dimmitt, 10 grandchildren, Eric, Britany, Angelica, Anayelli, Erika, Juan, Maracelli, Javier Jr., Marcos and Chano, 5 great-grandchildren, Audri, Kinsley, Leah, Ryan and Noah, 2 brothers, Esteban Oltivero and Jesus Oltivero, both of Dimmitt and 1 sister, Lupe Zuniga of Weslaco.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Maria Oltivero, 3 sisters, Rosa Sepeda, Juana Ruiz, and Mary Juarez, 3 brothers, Juan, Richard and Reynaldo Oltivero.
