Silvestre Garibaldi, 74, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Reverend Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Niño as celebrants. Burial will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Viewing will begin Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 3:30 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home with rosary being recited at 5:30 PM.

Silvestre was born on December 31, 1946 to Juan and Josefine (Pena) Garibaldi in El Porvenir, Mexico. He married Angel in 1970 in Altus, Oklahoma. He moved to Dimmitt in 1972 were he worked as a farmer and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Silvestre enjoyed working on cars, gardening, growing squash and green beans. He also loved traveling to see his family. Silvestre was a great father to his children. He will be greatly missed by many.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Angel Garibaldi of Dimmitt, three sons, Jesse Garibaldi and wife Annette, Jason Garibaldi all of Dimmitt, and Ricky Joe Garibaldi of Houston; three brothers, John Manuel Garibaldi of Childress, Cruz Garibaldi and wife Alicia of Paducah, Eualio Garibaldi of Mexico; three sisters, Adelina Vargas, Concepcion Garibaldi both of Ft. Hancock, Texas and Paula Rosales and husband Israel of Tornio, Texas; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Silvestre is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Douglas Garibaldi, two brothers Francisco Garibaldi and Florentino Garibaldi, two sisters Gregoria Banda, and Hilaria Morales.
