Silvia Nieto, 61, of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, in Dimmitt, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Arrangements and Cremation Services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Silvia was born on June 15, 1964, in Olton, Texas, to Nabor Hernandez and Maria Barrera. She attended and graduated from school in Olton. Silvia worked as a CNA, at Walmart, and as a Prison Guard. Silvia loved spending time around her family and kids; she loved jewelry, playing the guitar, and singing. One of her favorite songs to sing was "Me Cambiaste la Vida". Silvia was funny, outspoken, loving, caring, and giving. Her family will dearly miss her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Santiago, Yereli, and Zethan Ramirez, all of Dimmitt, Texas; siblings, Janie Ramirez of Dimmitt, Texas, Virginia Jimenez of Olton, Texas, Elissa Hernandez of Olton, Texas, Nabor Hernandez, Jr. of Abilene, Texas, and Renee Hernandez of Olton, Texas; numerous loved nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews; aunt Ernestina Martinez; and best friends Esther, Martha Gonzales, Mary Cortez and Mary Banda.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nabor and Maria Hernandez, and siblings Bertha Espinoza, Jose Espinoza, Joquin Hernandez, and Carlos Hernandez.
