Simona Sanchez Flores, 96, of Dimmitt, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011 in Dimmitt. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 2:00PM in the Palabras de Vida with Abel Vargas Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dimmitt under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Simona was born on June 1, 1914. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and cooking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing bingo and telling great stories. She is survived by 2 daughters, Ramona Saucedo and Consuelo Rodriguez both of Seminole, special grand-daughter, Victoria Saucedo of Dimmitt, 14 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sinforoso Flores, 1 daughter, Lydia Saucedo, grandson, Carlos Rodriguez, 2 great-grandsons, Robert Saucedo Jr.,and Johnny "Juanito" Rodriguez
