Steve Albracht, 52, of Hart, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas.  Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 24, 2017 in the First Baptist Church of Hart with Pastor Gene Meacham officiating.  Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.  The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at the funeral home located at 809 Butler Blvd., Dimmitt, Texas

Steve Albracht was born on July 20, 1964 in Tulia, Texas to Sam Albracht and Marjorie (Schacher) Albracht.  He was raised in Nazareth and graduated from Nazareth High School in 1982.  Steve married Sheryl (McLain) Albracht on September 19, 1987 in Hart, Texas at the First Baptist Church.  Steve farmed most of his life and was a member of the One – Ton Club and received many awards including 11 National Yield Titles.  Steve was a spokesman for Pioneer Seed and Stoller through the years and enjoyed sharing his farming knowledge with other farmers.  Farming was his life but he also enjoyed driving cars (Corvette), playing cards, playing golf and challenging his children in different sports.  Above all he loved spending quality time with his family.

Steve is survived by his wife, Sheryl Albracht of Hart, 1 son, Keenan Albracht of Hart, 2 daughters, Kembra Schulte and husband Dustin of Lubbock and Kelcy Albracht of Lubbock, parents, Sam and Marjorie Albracht of Nazareth, 2 brothers, Chris Albracht and wife Anna of Amarillo and Dale Albracht and wife Tami of Lubbock, 2 sisters, Liz Hernandez and husband Pascual of Sonora and Cindy Huseman and husband Scott of Nazareth,  2 brothers-in-law, James McLain and wife Julie of Springlake and Benny McLain and Aimee of Nazareth, 2 sisters-in-law, Dana Black of Tulia and Jill Smith and husband Jerry of Amarillo, numerous nieces and nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, W.J. and Irene Albracht, F.P. and Lucille Schacher, father and mother-in-law, Cleve and Shirley McLain and a brother-in-law, Cary McLain.
