Susan "Susie" Reyna, beloved and devoted child, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and beloved friend to many, passed away early on Monday morning, April 29, 2024. Susie was 57 years old when she passed peacefully onto our Heavenly Father's arms in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 2:00PM at the First Baptist Church of Hart with her brother, Steven Reyna officiating.  Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.  The viewing will be held on Thursday, May 2, from 1:00PM – 6:00PM at El Sendero de la Cruz Pentecostal Church of Hart with a Prayer Service beginning at 6:00PM.
Susie was a strong believer in Christ and shared her beliefs with anyone who would listen. She would constantly say, "Thank you Lord," then shout and dance, "Holy Spirit Activated! Holy Spirit Activated!". She had no shame in saying and showing who her savior was, no matter who was around.
Susie came from a special family with strong values. To her, family was everything and would do anything for them. When a family member needed any kind of help, no matter what, she would be there with no questions asked. At almost any family gathering you would find Susie there, and most certainly that was the life of the party. Susie's family will forever have many memories of her, or as her family likes to put it, "Susie being Susie." Free spirited and all!
She moved to Uvalde, Texas where she worked at Security Service Credit Union where she began to touch even more people's lives with her very energetic personality and caring heart. Susie loved her job very much because she loved the people she worked with and loved talking to all the customers who would come in. With Susie it was never just "How can I help you?" it was more than that for her as she got to know her costumers on a personal level.
Susie spent the last of her few years in Uvalde, Texas with a special group of friends whom she called family. They had spent a lot of time together living and laughing. She touched their lives just as much as they touched hers. Her last two years she was a warrior battling cancer, and her family and friends in Uvalde never hesitated to battle with her.
Susie met no stranger and was loved by many. She lived the moment and life to the fullest.  Her laugh and smile were so contagious that you could not help but laugh and smile with her, even when times were tough. She will be deeply missed by many.
Those family members she leaves behind is her son, Javier Orlando Reyna and wife Melinda of Lubbock, her mother, Maria Reyna of Hart, two brothers, Jesus Chia and wife Irma of Mission, and Steven Reyna and wife Malissa of Hart, six sisters, Senaida de la Fuente and husband Guadalupe of Hart, Senobia Diego and husband Andres of Hart, Sabina Godino and husband Gilbert of Plainview, Priscella Rincon of Hart, Lisa Licerio and husband Manuel of Plainview, and Nadia Reyna of Hart, two grandchildren, King Reyna, and Mariah Gamez and husband V.J. and one great-grandchild, Valencia Gamez.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fortunato Reyna, sister, Sally Carrasco, and nephews, Gage Licerio and Gilbert Orlando Godino.
