Teresa Anne Lindsey, 63, of Dimmitt, Texas went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2018.  Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, December 24, 2018 at 11:00AM in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. T.C. Broom officiating.  Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direct care of Colonial Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 3:00PM – 5:00PM at the funeral home located at 809 Butler Blvd., Dimmitt, Texas, 79027.

Teresa Lindsey was born on May 3, 1955 in Dimmitt, Texas to Doyle Underwood and Rubie (Coughran) Lee and was raised in the Bethel Community.  She graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1973 and Baylor University in 1978 with a B.A. in Accounting and a minor in English.  Teresa married Kent Lindsey on June 30, 1984 and they have been married for 34 years.  Teresa was a devoted teacher at Dimmitt I.S.D. and served as an EMT with the Castro County EMS.  She loved cooking, gardening, camping and spending time with her family and friends.  The true joy in her life came from encouraging and inspiring her students and witnessing their success.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Kent Lindsey of Dimmitt, children, Van Jeter of Tyler, Heather Jeter of Dimmitt, Kris Lindsey and Alivia of Amarillo, and Monica Lindsey of Dimmitt, mother, Rubie Lee of Longview, 2 sisters, Darla Baggett of Longview and Debbie Schumacher and husband Randy of Toronto, KS and five grandchildren, Analyce, Daegan, Mason, Scarlett and Grayson mother-in-law Dorris Lindsey Flynt.

Teresa is preceded in death by her father, Doyl Underwood and step-father, Dr. B.H. (Bill) Lee and brother-in-law Lee Baggett.

The family has requested memorials be made to a charity of choice.
