Thalia Fulkerson's Obituary
Thalia Fulkerson, 95, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in Dimmitt. Thalia was born on June 15, 1920 in Wheeler, Texas to John Harrison Wright and Mary Emily (May) Wright. After graduating high school she received her Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and English and continued her education and later received her Master's Degree in Guidance Counseling. Thalia taught school in Goodnight, Friona, Tucumcari and then in Tulia and later became a school counselor. She met Bob Fulkerson in Tucumcari and they married on August 22, 1946. Thalia enjoyed painting, playing the piano, working crossword puzzles and reading. She loved helping the church in different capacities but most importantly she loved serving the Lord. Thalia is survived by one son, Bob Fulkerson and wife Charlotte of Hereford, one daughter, Kay G'Feller and husband Ronnie of Dimmitt, one sister, Willie Braddy of Amarillo, two brothers, Frank Wright of Sherman and Tom Wright and wife Sue of Paducah, five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Thalia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob Fulkerson, one brother, J.H. Wright and one grandson, Jack G'Feller. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 1201 Western Circle Dr., Dimmitt, Texas, 79027.
