Thurman Clay, 77, of Hart, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in Altus, Oklahoma.

Thurman was born on January 20, 1936 in Brownfield, Texas to Thompson Clay and Ellie Durham Clay. Thurman moved to Hart in the early 1950's and worked as a farmer and held various jobs around Hart and then became a truck driver for Good Pasture and Poole Chemicals for 25 years before his retirement. He married Virginia (Sharp) Scott on December 31, 1985 in Plainview. Thurman loved to watch bull riding, working in his garden and playing card games.

Thurman is survived by his wife, Virginia Clay of Hart, Texas, 2 daughters, Wendie Reeves and husband Paul of Springfield, Missouri, and Lorrie Logsdon and husband Ronnie McMahon of Altus, Oklahoma, 3 sons, Roy Lee Scott and wife Christy of Altus, Oklahoma, Larry Logsdon and wife Mable of Blair, Oklahoma, and Duke Logsdon of Sweetwater, Oklahoma, 1 sister, Pauline Adams of Hereford, Texas, and 1 brother, Lee Clay and wife Betty of Silverton, Oklahoma, 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 grandson and 1 nephew.
