Tomas Vega, 54, of Hart, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:30AM in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Hart, Texas with Father Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Niño and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the direct care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 6:00PM in the church.
Tomas Vega was born on January 28, 1964 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Sostenes Vega and Guadalupe (Rodriguez) Vega. He married Maria Andrea (Reyna) Vega on January 23, 1986. Tomas farmed in Castro County for 22 years for the Nelson Farms. He enjoyed working on the farm and working cattle along with his other animals, but most of all he loved all of his grandchildren and his entire family which he had a nickname for everyone. Tomas will be mostly remembered as a caring and loving man with an amazing heart.
Tomas is survived by his wife, Maria Andrea Vega, children, Homero Vega and wife Mayra, Jose de Jesus Vega and wife Mirella, Maria Guadalupe Morales and husband Fabian, Sandra Ramirez and husband Rene, Laura Vega and Marilen Vega, grandchildren, Aidan Vega, Tomas Vega, William Vega, Ulicies Vega, Emma Vega, Jeremiah Vega, Adamari Morales, Avram Morales, Avilen Morales, Asael Morales and Abriee Ramirez, 4 brothers, Eusbio Vega, Juan Vega, Tony Vega and Teofilo Vega, 6 sisters, Toche, Hilaria, Andrea, Antonia, Enedina and Ofelia.
Tomas is preceded in death by his parents.
