Memorial service will be held on Wednesday November 19, 2014 at 2:00PM in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Sullivan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Tommy was born on December 23, 1947 in Amherst, Texas to Loyd Collins and Rosa Lee Hood. Tommy grew up in Littlefield Texas and graduated Littlefield High School. After graduating he attended West Texas University. Tommy worked as a Salesman for Brakes and Wheels Oil Company in the Odessa and Hobbs area. Tommy worked as the manager of the Zia Senior Center in Ruidoso Downs for 18 years. Tommy was a City Councilman for Ruidoso Downs. Tommy loved the horse races, boxing and was a devoted Dallas Cowboy fan. Tommy was a fan of the King Elvis Presley. Most of all he loved being with his family. He was member of the First Christian Church in Ruidoso, NM. He is survived by his mother Rosie Hood of Ruidoso Downs NM, a sister Linda Grand and husband Gary of Dimmitt, Texas and a niece Tara Grand of Dimmitt, Texas. He is survived by several cousins.
