Tommy Stanton, 76, of Dimmitt passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Lubbock. Tommy was born on October 13, 1935 in Lubbock, Texas to Milton Thomas and Jewel Hardy Stanton. He was very active in Farm Bureau and was a former President on the board of Farm Bureau in Dimmitt. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting. He was a farmer and rancher and owned and operated several operations in Texas and New Mexico. He is survived by his loving wife, Centa Stanton of Dimmitt, 3 sons, Jay Kent Stanton and wife Susie of Dimmitt, Steve Stanton and wife Sally of Cleburne, and Adrian Stanton and wife Sarah of Axis, Alabama, 3 daughters, Delynda Allison and husband Larry of Amarillo, Debbie Carducci of Dallas, and Shawn St. Vrain of Castle Rock, Colorado, 1 brother, Jay Hardy Stanton and wife Pat of Lubbock, 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was loved by Pat Emerson and family, Chris Jones and daughters, James Luther and family, and Steven Luther and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Thomas and Jewel Hardy Stanton of Shallowater.
