Travis Hampton Jr., 58, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015 in Dimmitt, Texas. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 10:00AM in the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt with Pastor Jonathan Sullivan officiating. Travis Hampton Jr. was born on January 23, 1957 in Littlefield, Texas to Travis Hampton Sr. and Jeanette Hampton. Travis grew up in Dimmitt and graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1975 where he played multiple sports during his high school career. After graduation he began farming. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf and was an avid sports fan but was especially fond of the LCU Roadrunners Women's Basketball organization. Travis loved his family and treated his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. Travis is survived by his parents, Travis and Jeanette Hampton of Dimmitt, TX, 1 brother, Johnny Hampton and wife Sharon of Canyon, TX, 1 sister Tonya Ethridge and husband Jackie of Earth, TX, 1 nephew, Shane Ethridge and wife Tanya of Nazareth, TX, 4 nieces, Jordan Thurston and husband Tyler of Houston, TX, Mindi McLain and husband Cameron of Amarillo, TX, Brittany Roberts and husband Clay of Midland, TX, and Nicole Hampton of Lubbock, TX, great nieces and nephews, Lexy Ethridge, Tripp Ethridge, Rhett Ethridge, Tate Thurston and Tinsley Thurston.
