Truman Newsome, 49, of Hart, Texas passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Hart. Memorial services will be Monday at 3:00 PM at Western Heritage in Hale Center, Texas with Robert Malcom officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Truman was born March 3, 1967 in Douglas, Arizona to Doyle and Yvonna Newsome. Truman has been a resident of Hart for 7 years. He worked off and on for Hastey Construction in Plainview for approximately 30 years. He married Amy Helton in 2005. Truman enjoyed operating a cutting torch. He was a man of few words but had a heart of gold. If you ever had the opportunity to meet Truman you instantly knew you had a friend for life. He was a very respectful and genuine individual. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife Amy Newsome of Hart, a son Cody Jones of Amarillo; a daughter Brittany Newsome of Plainview and a step-daughter Allyson Bolding of Hart; one brother Danny Newsome of Plainview; six sisters Stacy Brown, Kristy Newsome both of Amarillo; Darla Jungman of Plainview; Sandra Rodriguez and Sheila Carter both of Friona and Patsy McCasland of Ft. Stockton; 8 grandchildren

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Dexter Newsome
