Victor Garcia, 67, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018 in Amarillo, Texas. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 3:00PM in the Palabras De Vida Church with Pastor Abel Vargas officiating with burial to follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direct care of Colonial Funeral Home. Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 10:00AM – 8:00PM at the funeral home.
Victor Garcia was born on May 16, 1951 in Ralls, Texas to Pedro Garcia and Rafaela (Arguelles) Garcia. Victor was a longtime resident of Dimmitt and worked as a truck driver for many years. Victor married Kay Lynn (Ortiz) Garcia on May 4, 2017 and he served in the United States Army. Victor enjoyed fishing, camping and playing bingo but will always be remembered as a hard worker and a big Dallas Cowboy fan.
Victor is survived by his wife, Kay Lynn (Ortiz) Garcia of Dimmitt, 3 sons, Victor Garcia Jr. of Arlington, Julian Ortiz of and Judas Larios both of Dimmitt, 2 daughters, Erica Estrada of Hereford and Jessica Gonzales of Amarillo, 2 brothers, Joe Garcia of Dimmitt and Jessie Garcia of Pittsburg, TX, 2 sisters, Margarita Martinez of Dimmitt and Nobertha Ramos of Friona and 2 grandchildren.
Victor is preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings.
