Victor Saenz Dimmitt- Victor Saenz, 81 died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Dimmitt, TX. Mass of Christian Burial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Dimmitt at the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Raj Arockia and Rev. Ken Keller officiating with burial to follow at Castro Memorial Gardens. Rosary will be Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home in Dimmitt. Mr. Saenz was born July 19, 1932, in Rio Grande, TX to Isidro Saenz and Anita Garza. He married Imelda Reyes on July 27, 1953. He worked for Killingsworth for several years, DISD Bus driver and Mechanic for 11 years, then was a self-employed truck driver and also worked for the hospital for 5 years. He loved family gatherings, riding horses, playing the accordion, mechanicing, playing horse shoes, dancing, and playing at the casinos. Victor was a very loving father and always very supportive for his children and wife. He was also a jokester. He is survived by his wife, Imelda Reyes Saenz, his 6 daughters- Diana Saenz Compean of Lubbock, TX- Fidela Saenz of Amarillo, TX- Rosa Maria Saenz Azua of Dimmitt, TX-Anita Saenz of Dimmitt, TX-Connie Saenz of Hereford, TX-and Linda Bonilla of Dimmitt, TX, his 3 sons- Victor Saenz Jr. of Dimmitt, TX- Julian Reyes Saenz of Amarillo, TX- and Manuel Reyes Saenz of Dimmitt, TX, his sister, Abelina Garza Saenz Trevino of Edinburg, TX, 26 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Saenz is preceded in death by his parents- Isidro Saenz and Anita Garza , his son- Juan Manuel Saenz, granddaughter- Stacy Marie Saenz, half-sister- Delia Garza, and great granddaughter- Aubrey Klyne Saenz.
