Wanda Murdock, daughter of William H. Felder and Nellie Anderson Felder, was born in Lockney, Texas on April 11, 1937, and departed this life October 12, 2022, in Amarillo, Texas, at the age of eighty-five years.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 10:30AM at the Fourth & Bedford Church of Christ with Mr. Bailey Chisum officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at the funeral home.
Wanda was raised in Lockney, Texas at an early age and then moved to Hart, Texas and graduated from Hart High School. She then attended Draughon's Business College in Plainview. On October 20, 1956, she married Bobby Murdock in Hart, TX. and later they became residents of Dimmitt, Texas. Wanda worked as a Pharmacy Tech for Joe Carver at Carver Pharmacy and Garland Coleman at Coleman Pharmacy for several years and worked at the Castro County District Clerks office helping with voting. She was a longtime member and volunteer at the Castro County Healthcare Auxiliary and Ladies Auxiliary of the Dimmitt Fire Department. Wanda attended the Fourth & Bedford Church of Christ where she was a longtime faithful member. Wanda cheered on the Dimmitt Bobcats and the Dimmitt Bobbies and was a huge supporter of her children and grandchildren during their activities.
Wanda is survived by a son, Brad Murdock and wife Rhonda of Lubbock, Texas, daughter, Debbie Smith and husband Doug of Amarillo, Texas, grandchildren, Tasha Vice, Holly Beard, Alyson Smith and Mitchell, Katie Wyatt, and Jody Murdock, great-grandchildren, Nick Beard, Peyton Vice, Hayden Beard, Chance Beard, Grady Beard, Liberty Anna Vice, Bentley Beard, Joel Weston Vice, and Keegan McCulloch.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby Murdock, sister, Barbara Godfrey, 2 brothers, W.H. "Dub" Felder and Jerry Felder.
