Wayne Beavers, 86, formerly of Hart, Texas passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 10:00AM in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Cody Neinast officiating. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
Wayne Beavers was born on October 20, 1933 in Castro County to Ollie Lee Beavers and Minnie (Vaughn) Beavers. He was a lifelong resident of Hart, Texas until he moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico to be closer to his daughter. Growing up, Wayne was very involved in participating in rodeos and had a great compassion for his horses. Wayne married Dorothy Beavers on September 27, 1952 in Clovis, New Mexico. While living in Hart, Wayne worked as the superintendent of Producers Coop Cotton Gin for many years until his retirement. Wayne enjoyed woodworking in his spare time but most of all he will be remembered as a loving husband and father who loved spending time with his family.
Wayne is survived by his daughter, Connie Henry and husband Billy of Carlsbad, NM, 1 sister, Peggy Mitchell of Emory, TX, 1 brother, Alvin Beavers of Woodrow, OK, 2 grandchildren, Nikki Patterson and husband Shane and Dustin Henry and wife Paulette, 5 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Justin, McKenzie, Dylan and Taylann.
Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Beavers, 2 sons, Randy Beavers and Terry Beavers.
