Wesley Alan Harkins, the man who touched many hearts, has passed on to better things as of December 23rd, 2025, while being surrounded by loved ones.
Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 9:45 A.M at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery with a Celebration of Life Service following at 10:30 A.M at the First Baptist Church in Dimmitt with Pastor David Ritchie officiating.  Services have been to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
There are not enough words to summarize such an amazing man, so this is only a brief account of his life.
Wes was born August 24, 1982, in Herford, TX. He was the youngest son born to Russell Eugene Harkins and Karen Diane Harkins, following his two older brothers, Ryan and Derik.
Wes was extremely intelligent. He graduated high school, attended college, explored the field of mechanics, and came back home to apply his knowledge in his roots of farming.
Wesley married Brandi Lankop and was a proud father to Kaisyn Raylynn, Gauge Seven, and Konstance.
In his 43 years, he farmed, custom harvested, and was so excited when he purchased his own piece of land. He holds a trademark and patent on his invention. But most importantly, he was working every day on becoming a better man for God. He led his family closer to God daily. He would wake up every morning before his family to sit at the kitchen table to read the bible and listen to a devotional before starting the rest of his day where he then would work to provide for his family. From sunup to past sundown, he was by far the hardest working man we knew. He would make sure every night ends in prayer. He attended the walk of Amias 54, was a part of two men's bible groups and most recently attended and joined the Rise Up Kings community which had a tremendous impact in his everyday life. He attended both events The Awakening 14 and The Forge through the Rise of King community which encouraged him in his everyday relationship with God. He was indeed constantly growing and becoming better every day.
Throughout life he enjoyed many things…. He enjoyed working on his Camero and seeing how fast he could make it go, taking his bike and Can-Am to the river, playing darts, playing pool, playing golf, etc. The things he enjoyed most were spending time with his family and serving others. He loved playing board games with the family, talking in the living room to see how his family was doing, and praying all together in Kaisyn's room each night. He was by far an amazing family man.
He used his last moments to enjoy time with his family and serve others. Until the very last moment, he was serving others.
We are forever grateful to The Most High King of Kings for Wes and for the opportunity to see him again one day. Glory be to the King of Kings now and forever!
Wesley is survived by his wife, Brandi Harkins of Easter, parents, Russell and Karen Harkins of Easter, children, Konstance Canada, Kaisyn Harkins, and Gauge Seven Harkins all of Easter, brothers, Ryan Harkins and Derik Harkins both of Easter, paternal grandmother, Carleta Harkins of Hereford, and Janet Lowrie of Plainview.
Wesley is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Earl Harkins, and maternal grandfather, Pete Lowrie along with a special pet, Nitrous.
