Willie Diaz 74, of Hart, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015, in Lubbock, Texas. Mass of a Christian Burial will be Friday August 14, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Hart, Texas mass will be officiated by Rev Raj Arockia and Deacon Paul Herrera. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas. Willie was born September 2, 1940 in Coleman, Texas to Bonefecio and Beatrice Diaz. He was a resident of Hart for 52 years where he was a self- employed mechanic. He married Gloria Diaz on January 6, 1963 in Dimmitt. He would help anyone in need. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, he also loved Mariachi music, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife Gloria Diaz of Hart, 1 daughter Julie Gonzales of Amarillo. 3 sons: Bonefacio Diaz, Cecil Diaz and Michael Diaz all of Hart. 4 brothers: Bennie Diaz of Amarillo, Rudy Diaz, Joe DeLeon and George Moreno all of Tucson, Arizona. 5 sisters: Oralia Rodriguez of Lubbock, Odelia Celaya, Teresa DeLeon, Sally DeLeon, Beatrice Rodriguez all of Tucson Arizona. 6 grandchildren: Kathleen Ocanas, Jamie Diaz, Jordan Diaz all of Lubbock, Ryan Diaz, Camryn Diaz of Lockney and Matthew Diaz of Hart. 3 great grandchildren: Brooklyn Diaz and Bailey Diaz of Lubbock and Caydence Diaz of Lockney He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Alex Moreno.
