Winona Bunch, 93, of Dimmitt passed away on October 31, 2012 in Lubbock. Graveside service will be held on Monday at 10:30AM in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Seth Pitman officiating. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Family visitation will be from 5:00PM -7:00PM at the funeral home on Sunday. Winona Bunch was born on October 5, 1919 in Oklahoma to James Escar Collum and Mildred Barrow Collum. She attended school in Harjo, OK and attended business school in Shawnee, OK. Winona married W.B. Bunch on June 6, 1942 in Reno Nevada. They moved to California and were there for 6 months before W.B. was shipped overseas. While W.B. was serving in the military, Winona moved back to Shawnee, OK. After W.B. Bunch was discharged, they settled down in Corsicana. Winona began working for Sears and worked there for many years. They moved to Dimmitt in 1964 and she began working as the Secretary for the First Baptist Church in Dimmitt until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school . She enjoyed gardening, cooking and needlepointing. Winona is survived by 1 son, David Bunch of Ruidoso, NM, 4 sisters, Wilma Dean Scott and husband Jack of Tecumseh, OK, Marjorie Northcutt of Lovington, NM, Beverly Barton and husband Charles of Emory, TX, and Patsy Anson of Tulsa, OK, 3 brothers, Jake Collum and wife Barbara of Los Fresnos, TX, Edward Collum of Hobbs, NM, and Pete Collum and wife Lillian of Odessa, TX. Numerous nieces and nephews. Winona is preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, Wanda Stovall, and 1 brother, Eugene Collum.
